Eupadeia, Goddess of the Body and Comfort
A collate with Nexis89. He created the backstory and I did the illustration.
When the relief of illness leaving the body comes, when a warm homemade meal soothes the soul, when the gentle caress across a woman’s body from her lover eases her heart, these are all reminders of the gifts of Eupadeia. The goddess of the body and of comfort, Eupadeia brings forth these gifts and many to those who worship the beauty of the body and the comfort and tenderness that it can bring, and the bounty that comes from those who follow the lady of red and her embrace. A figure of flowing locks of copper and crimson, forest green eyes and cream skin flecked with freckles and of ample figure, Eupadeia’s gentle smile is a symbol of hope to all who see it, a reminder that life is alright and that there is hope within her comforting arms.

To say that her birth was unique would be an understatement, for the culmination of passion with the goddess Aphrodite and the god Dionysus brought forth the birth of this woman of crimson locks. Born from the powers of beauty, lust, and indulgence, Eupadeia grew up as a woman of pleasure in her young age, seeking pleasure and following her father’s moniker of pampering of the self, which gave rise to her figure. However within her maturation to an adult, she saw a gift welling in her from the beauty blossoming in her; a comforting nature to those around her, serenity and peace with her followers that basked in her splendor, an easing of the troubles of mortals and the realization of the beauty of the body. With the revelation of her gifts, Eupadeia saw her duty as the symbol of comfort to the mortals and taught her followers that through their comfort and compassion in their bodies they may bring peace and joy to their lives.

To those who are blessed to know the goddess of comfort, Eupadeia is a woman of joy and serenity, a beacon of brightness and a calmer of those with storms within their souls. However, the nature of her comfort and personality can be seen adverse by some; like her father, people may see her as indulgent, even hedonistic when it comes to the pleasures of the palette. From her mother’s side she has also garnered a sense of impulsiveness, acting upon her first ideals and with a sharp temper that is something to not trifle with. And yet when they are with her graces, one may see that this is actually an extension of Euppadeia’s praise of the body and representation of the comfort she may bring.
